We celebrated the launch event of a collaboration between Cairo Festival City & Vogue Italia to launch a first of its kind project; “Cairo Fashion Experience”, dedicated to support Emerging Egyptian Fashion Designers offering them many opportunities to grow and get exposure in the local & international fashion community.
The winners of the competition get to attend fashion week in Milan as well as be mentored by Vogue Italia through their launching designing careers. As well as international recognition, the winners will get a pop-up booth at Fashion Avenue; Cairo Festival City’s luxury brands extension.
VENUE
We transformed an under-construction concrete venue into a luxurious, warehouse-feeling location for one of the greatest fashion collaborations in Egypt! The look and feel of the venue created a lush ambiance to celebrate the unique collaboration that will transform the fashion scene in Egypt.
The location was challenging due its limited space so we took it as a challenge to use the concrete in the location as an integral element in the design.
We’ve completely changed the venue from a construction zone into a venue fit for some of the most fashionable icons in the country!
With several notable Egyptian celebrities and international fashion icons, Vogue and Cairo Festival City’s fashion experience was a night filled with only the most luxurious deliverables!

In the presence of some of the biggest names in the industry, Sara Sozzani Maino, Head of Special Projects Vogue Italia introduced to the guests the extraordinary project details and the prominent members of the scouting jury. Amina Khalil, Actress and UNFPA Honorary Goodwill Ambassador; Elisa Sednaoui, Model and Social Entrepreneur; Heba Abdallah, Head of Marketing Al-Futtaim Malls; Hend Sabry, Actress, Producer and WFP ambassador; Manuel Arnaut, Editor-in-Chief Vogue, The jury also includes Mounaz and Aya Abdel Raouf, Founders of Okhtein and Veronica Etro, Creative Director Etro.
Many prestigious Cairo fashion community members along with established figures in the worldwide industry attended the event to celebrate the iconic launch on Egyptian soil!

Before the start of the party, we were introduced to the launch of the new projects by speeches from the esteemed Sara Sozzani Maino, Head of Special Projects Vogue Italia in which she introduced the guests to the extraordinary project that will bring forth Egypt into the international fashion scene.
Elisa Sednaoui, Model and Social Entrepreneur, expressed her everlasting love and gratitude to her Egyptian roots and explained why this collaboration will allow young Egyptian designers to be mentored by the biggest fashion house in the world; Vogue Italia.
Heba Abdallah, Head of Marketing Al-Futtaim Malls, took the stage and then the party began to celebrate such an extraordinary night!
All the way from England, Inspirations band hyped the entire venue up with their upbeat performances and live drumming sets!
